| O God the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Monday 4th June, 2pm – Mothers’ Union Jubilee Tea Party on the lawn at church. All Welcome

| At each celebration of the Eucharist or Holy Communion we remember Jesus and his life, death, resurrection and ascension into heaven. Holy Week and Easter offers us the opportunity to engage with the story of the last days of Christ’s earthly pilgrimage. This annual memorial of Christ’s death and resurrection allows us time to think about our lives in the light of the suffering of the cross and the joy of Easter Day.
The journey through the week takes us from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the empty tomb on Easter morning.
In an ideal world you would make time to attend all the opportunities for worship and reflection offered in the week. But that will not be possible for everyone, so please think and pray about the week and identify one or two occasions during the week when you can stop for a moment and reflect on God’s love for you as you witness that love in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. |
